Luca Salici
Comms Director | Journalist | Cultural CriticOver 20 years of experience in strategic communications, journalism and cultural criticism. I've led communications for global organizations, written for Italian press and independent outlets. I always believed that every story - whatever the medium - deserves to be told well. Based in Rome.
What I Do
I currently serve as Communications Director at GoFundMe, where I oversee strategic communications. I manage international teams, PR agencies and brand reputation in complex, fast-moving environments. Before that, I worked as a digital strategist and communications consultant for organizations, leading campaigns on advocacy, fundraising, and social impact.I hold a Master's degree in Digital Marketing and an Executive Education certificate from Stanford GSB.

Digital Storytelling
I've always approached journalism the way a craftsman approaches his work, with patience, rigor, and a deep respect for the reader. Two decades of articles, reportages and cultural essays. My byline has appeared in HuffPost Italia, Il Fatto Quotidiano, L'Espresso, Repubblica XL, La Nuova Ecologia, Gli Stati Generali, Articolo21 and many others.

Listening
Some stories are better heard than read. "Seconda Visione" is a podcast I created for daSud Mediacivico, exploring civic narratives through unconventional perspectives.Tante Care Cose was my independent project dedicated to constructive journalism and the stories of people quietly making the world better
Gaming
Video games are one of the most underrated forms of cultural expression of our time. I cover them the same way I cover film, politics, or social issues - with context, curiosity, and a critical perspective. I contribute to GameCvlt, one of Italy's independent gaming outlets, and document my gaming life on Instagram at @frigogames
